The Microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) is a highly purified, partially depolymerized cellulose derivative obtained from plant fibers, primarily wood pulp. It is widely used in pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics, and industrial applications due to its multifunctional properties such as binding, stabilizing, bulking, and emulsifying.

However, challenges include price fluctuations in raw materials, strict regulatory standards, and availability of substitutes.
