Surface preparation is critical for successful coating application. Pipes are typically sandblasted or abrasive blasted to remove rust, scale, and contaminants, ensuring proper adhesion. Advanced inspection methods, such as holiday testing and non-destructive evaluation, are employed to verify coating integrity and detect flaws before the pipeline is commissioned.

In conclusion, the choice of pipe coating market size technique and application method significantly affects pipeline durability and performance. FBE, thermoplastics, spray-applied coatings, and cement mortar linings each serve specific purposes, catering to different industrial and municipal requirements.
